HydroFacial Microdermabrasion
What is it?
A wonderful multi-platform device that delivers micro-dermabrasion and incorporated with infusion. The treatment gently and effectively removes the dead skin and concurrently infuses topical multivitamins, anti-oxidants, anti-aging actives and whitening factors into the skin. Ultra-sonophoresis will be performed with topical actives too for added benefits.
How is it different from traditional Microdermabrasion?
Traditional microdermabrasion removes the upper part of the epidermis with abrasive materials such as rough metal or dry powder. This could lead to high risk of unnecessary skin damage and prolonged skin irritation. HydroFacial Microdermabrasion on the other hand gently removes a predictable layer of dead skin and concurrently hydrates the skin with actives solution. It is a fast, safe and painless procedure.
How is HydroFacial Microdermabrasion performed?
Initially, your face will be cleansed thoroughly. You shall feel a sensation of “skin pulling” and “water dripping” throughout the procedure. When the ultra-sonophoresis is applied, it is soothing and comfortable. The treatment takes approximately 15 minutes, following which an whitening mask will be applied to your face.
What results can I expect?
Brightening of the skin, reduction of wrinkles and large pores. People with acne problem or acne prone skin will particularly benefit from this procedure.
Are there any side effects?
A small group of patients report transient redness that is usually resolved after 1 hour. There are also reported case of mild peeling or hypersensitivity of the treated skin but this is not commonly seen. You could resume your daily routine immediately after the treatment.
